Today most commercial pools or spas are treated using chlorinated products (sometimes bromine) that are good oxidizing agents but generate by-products such as chloramines (or bromamines). These by-products are irritant, corrosive and smelly.
They are harmful to health and responsible for respiratory illnesses in lifeguards, baby swimmers and competitive swimmers.
That is why BIO-UV has engineered and designed ranges specifically for the sanitation and dechloramination of commercial pools & spas.
Commercial pools are regulated under strict testing protocols. Local and National news frequently report on pool closures associated with outbreaks of Cryptosporidium and Giardia contamination. BIO-UV provides the most advanced technology available for the eradication of these micro-organisms and Chlorine removal. As the leader in ultraviolet sanitation solutions for pools and spas, BIO UV offers a full product line of NSF-50 certified products for your application.
The EM Series offers bacteriological control results that exceed the standard requirements and provide the highest level of disinfection efficiency for «Crypto», Giardia and Toxoplasma and insure a high level of dechloramination.
BIO-UV and Delta UV ranges for dechloramination and disinfection are very competitive and efficient and all the series for pools and spas are NSF 50 certified, which ensures total compatibility and efficacy. Delta UV is one of the few companies in the United States that has been certified for low and medium pressure and participates in numerous scientific conferences and trade shows and is a member of the NSF Standards Committee as is BIO-UV.
Continuous treatment for immediate disinfection and dechloramination
Renders 99,99% of bacteria harmless
UV-C rays allow the most effective and safe sanitation technology available
Environmentally Friendly
Improved water and air quality for bathers comfort and safety
The sun emits invisible light - ultraviolet light. Through leading edge technology, this natural phenomenon is reproduced inside the UV systems of the Delta UV product range using powerful UV-C ray lamps. At 254 nanometers, the optimum wavelength for destroying micro-organisms (viruses, bacteria, algae, yeast, mold, etc.), Delta UV UV-C rays penetrate and disrupt their DNA, permanently deactivating germ cell metabolism so they cannot reproduce.
UV-C rays reactors dechloraminate and disinfect:
Commercial pools
Commercial spas
Thalassotherapy pools using chlorine
Thermal baths using chlorine
Chlorine is acting on organic matters. After its effect of disinfection, chlorine releases by-products called: chloramines
When water has to many chloramines:
eyes, skin and mucous membranes get irritated
Chlorine smells strongly
Water renewal increase significatively
The sanitizers in the BIO UV and Delta UV ranges are dimensioned according to the pump flow rate because it is a combination of the exposure time in the UV sanitizer and the power of the lamp(s) that will ensure that the necessary dose (expressed in millijoules per square centimeter or mJ/cm2) is sufficient to kill 99,99% of the micro-organisms (bacteria, viruses, «Crypto», etc.)
In the particular case of dechloramination, a dose of 60mJ is essential in order to significantly reduce the level of chloramines, a noteworthy contributor to respiratory irritation and illness.
BIO-UV and Delta UV committed to the same values, that is: - The effectiveness and efficacy of the solutions proposed, - The quality and reliability of its products, - Responsiveness and service.
Benefits :
Continuous treatment, immediate disinfection and dechloramination
